Marina
Glenn Henderson advised that Big Digem will start on the breakwater repairs in mid-April.
Glenn will send an email to marina members advising them of the work at the marina that needs to be done.
He also advised that the marina team is working with two boat owners; one regarding working out a casual moorage contract for a boat owned by a person who is not a resident of Magic Lake Estates; and the second relating to insurance for the owner of a boat that recently sold.
Glenn also noted that provision is made in the Magic Lake Property Owners' Society bylaws to provide free moorage to marina members who have made significant contributions to the operation and maintenance of the marina. Kathy will check the bylaws to see whether free moorage is available to all marina members or just Board members who have gone above and beyond in contributing to the marina.
Note: Free moorage is available to any member of the marina who has made significant contributions to the operation and maintenance of the marina. Section 7.7.2 of the bylaws state: “Upon recommendation of the Board of Directors, a member of the society may be offered free moorage for one vessel at the marina or membership at the tennis courts for a period of one year.”
Recreation / Tennis Report
Mike Wiley reported that resurfacing of the courts remains a pending item.
